Lone Tree is a suburban city just south of the Denver Tech Center, incorporated in 1995. (There is a rumor that some attorneys didn't want to pay Denver stadium taxes and decided to found a city, but you know how rumors are!) It features several different subdivisions, a country club and Arnold Palmer designed golf course, the Park Meadows shopping mall and environs, the newly-built Sky Ridge hospital, a great library, the Lone Tree recreation center and a number of fantastic restaurants.

In the summer there are free concerts, amusements and fireworks at the park. The Library hosts daily storytimes, scheduled craft fairs, regular Art Shows and book clubs. In this city, you are five minutes away from anywhere - Nordstrom's to the golf course. Lone Tree is similar to Highlands Ranch, the prominence of power shopping at Park Meadows near multi-million dollar homes at Heritage Hills and Heritage Estates show off this area's polish.
