This town enjoys a variety of architectures and looks as if it grew up over time rather than inside a decade. Arvada's mainstreet area, Historic Olde Town Arvada, lends Arvada a real hometown feel. In fact, you can find homemade ice cream made and served at events such as the kite festival. Adding to the hometown feel are publically attended events such as Breakfast with the Mayor.

Arvada is also home to a Metro Denver landmark, The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. It is a fantastic place to take in musical theatre and their Children's Theatre program is a must-see.
